Cookies & Legal Disclaimers

Parko is a staff app, not a marketing website. We only use the minimum browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to make the app work offline:

• Sign-in session — a secure token stored in your browser so you don’t have to type your PIN on every screen. Cleared when you sign out.
• Consent record — a small flag remembering that you ticked the “I agree” box on the sign-in screen, so you don’t see it every visit.
• Offline drafts — timesheet entries you fill in without signal are held in your browser until they can sync.
• App install / notification preferences — whether you dismissed the “add to home screen” or notifications prompts.

Parko does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, Facebook / Google Ads trackers, or third-party analytics that profile you across other websites. There is nothing to accept or reject beyond the sign-in consent you already give.

Everything listed above is classed as strictly necessary under UK GDPR / PECR — the app cannot function without it — so no separate cookie banner is required. If we ever add optional analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will show a proper opt-in banner first and update this page.

You can clear the app’s storage at any time from your browser settings (“Clear site data” for the Parko domain). Doing so will sign you out and delete any offline drafts that haven’t synced yet.

• As-is service. The app is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every feature will suit every situation.
• Not legal, tax or HR advice. Anything shown in the app about working time, holiday entitlement or payroll is a tool to help the business keep records — it is not a substitute for professional advice.
• External links. Where the app links out (e.g. to the ICO website), we are not responsible for the content of those third-party sites.
• Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by misuse of the app, by sharing your PIN, by loss of internet connectivity, or by issues with third-party providers. Nothing in this page limits your statutory rights as an employee or consumer.
